According to the report of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the department has gradually coordinated and proposed projects to invest in and install 10 continuous automatic surface water quality monitoring stations. Specifically, the investment project of an environmental monitoring and analysis center, including the investment item, installation of two automatic continuous monitoring stations for surface water quality.

From 2023 to 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will continue to upgrade and expand the environmental quality monitoring network in the city. At the same time, continue to seek and diversify investment sources for the environmental quality monitoring network. Maximize capital mobilization from international organizations, governmental and non-governmental organizations, projects, and businesses to upgrade and invest in new monitoring networks.

As for the plan to reduce groundwater exploitation for the period 2022-2025, a representative of Saigon Water Supply Corporation (SAWACO) said that it is expected that by the end of 2022, the corporation's groundwater extraction output will be 62,300 m3. /day, ensuring a reduction of 3,700 m3 / day compared to the exploitation output of 2021.

By the end of 2023, the corporation's groundwater extraction output will reach 50,000 m3/day, which is expected to decrease by another 12,300 m3/day compared to 2022, ensuring that it is in line with the roadmap to reduce underground water exploitation according to Decision No. 1242 of the City People's Committee.

For the period 2024-2025, depending on the implementation of water supply network development projects, the state of the clean water supply of units and corporations, the Corporation will consider a roadmap to reduce underground water exploitation to ensure the water needs of the people, and at the same time comply with the roadmap to reduce groundwater exploitation according to the decision of the city.

For good stations that have stopped operating, the company will propose to convert their functions into strategic backup water supply locations to serve the safe water supply plan for the city when there is a problem that cannot be exploited directly from the source. river water or problems on the water transmission pipeline network.
