However, due to a change in functions and duties from the Department of Construction to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and changes in the legal bases that regulate the setting of maximum prices and specific prices for collection and transportation services. Due to the treatment of domestic solid waste, the Department of Construction has reported to the City to assign the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to take the lead in reviewing and building a multi-price, specific price, and waste collection, transportation, and treatment services. living snakes following the new provisions of the Law on Environmental Protection in 2020; the responsibility of individuals and organizations generating daily-life solid waste to pay the service charges for collection, transportation, and treatment of daily-life solid waste based on the classified volume or volume; service price calculation method; authority to issue service prices.

Currently, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment is developing a project to separate waste at source in the city from 2022 to 2025 and a vision to 2030 following the specific infrastructure and climate conditions of the city. local authorities and technical guidelines on the classification of domestic solid waste when promulgated by the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment. It is expected that the project will be completed and submitted to the City People's Committee for consideration and approval in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Based on the results of the Project on waste separation at source, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment will develop a specific roadmap for garbage classification and submit it to the City People's Committee for consideration and approval of waste classification guidelines. at the source and prepare the necessary infrastructure and facilities for the process of classifying, collecting, transporting, and treating domestic solid waste.
