At Binh Dinh Dairy Factory, wastewater is generated mainly from the process of production and cleaning of equipment and machinery. After surveying and researching, it was found that wastewater here has high organic matter content and many suspended sediments. Milk processing wastewater is initially neutral or slightly alkaline, but tends to become fully acidic quickly because the lack of oxygen facilitates the fermentation of lactose to lactic acid, where the pH decreases and there is ability to induce casein precipitation.

From the collected characteristics, we have come up with an appropriate treatment plan, suitable for the conditions at the unit and suitable for the wastewater characteristics. After being put into construction and installation, the treated water sample has a concentration reaching column B, QCVN 40:2011/BTNMT National Technical Regulation on Industrial Wastewater.
