WHY IS THE URBAN SURROUND?

Uncontrolled urbanization, urban development, and asynchronous infrastructure development are the direct or indirect causes of urban flooding.
The urban construction with high density in the peri-urban areas, which were previously used for agricultural purposes or as low-lying areas containing water with the function of natural water regulation, is the cause of flooding.

In urban areas, the area of lakes, ponds, canals, and canals being leveled increases, causing the in-situ water capacity of this area to decrease. The process of urbanization with increasing construction demand has led to the disappearance of many canals, canals, lakes, and ponds in the urban area.

The increase in the area of concrete surface in urban areas not only increases the amount of rainwater flowing on the surface because it cannot penetrate the ground, reducing the amount of groundwater but also creating a heat island effect.
